YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
Senior portraits are a big deal — and you probably have questions. Here's what most seniors and their families want to know before reaching out.
-
What makes your sessions different from other senior photographers in Denver? The thing I hear most from clients is that they didn't expect to feel so comfortable. I'm not here to put you in poses that feel stiff and staged. I create a space where you feel warm, seen, and safe enough to be exactly who you are — because that's where the real photos happen. Every session is personalized, unhurried, and built around you, not a template.
-
That's the most common thing I hear — and it always changes within the first few minutes. My whole approach is built around making you feel relaxed and real, not performed. You don't have to know how to pose. You just have to show up.

JBP sessions start at a $175 session fee and are designed around three collection options — so you can choose the experience that fits your vision and budget. Every collection includes pre-session help, an in-person ordering appointment, and a minimum number of proofs to choose from.
Printed products — albums, wall art, prints, and digitals — are selected at your ordering appointment after you've seen your full gallery. Each collection has an order minimum, and most families invest between $1,200 and $3,500 for their full senior experience. I'll walk you through every option so nothing feels overwhelming or surprising, and payment plans are available.
No hidden fees. No pressure. Just full transparency from the start.

A few weeks after your session we'll meet — virtually or in person — to look through your full gallery together and design your final products as a cohesive collection. It's one of my favorite parts of the whole process. You'll get to relive the session, see your images beautifully presented, and choose what becomes part of your family's legacy. It's included for every client.

Everywhere that feels like you. I serve seniors across Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Parker, Larkspur, Littleton, and the greater Denver Metro area — from golden-hour mountain meadows to urban backdrops in the city. I also love heading into the mountains for sessions in Summit County, Boulder County, and Estes Park. We'll choose 2–3 locations together during your planning call.
-
Absolutely. Whether you're an athlete, a musician, a theatre kid, or someone who just wants photos that actually look like you — if you want real, story-driven portraits that don't feel cheesy, we're going to have a great time.
-
Yes — and honestly, it makes everything better. Having your person there brings out a side of you that's hard to manufacture on your own. BFF sessions are one of my favorite add-ons. Ask about it when you inquire.

Every client receives a Senior Style Guide before their session with outfit tips, color advice, and wardrobe direction based on our locations and your personal style. The short answer: bring looks that feel like you on your best day, not a costume version of someone else. We'll talk through everything during your planning call.
-
As soon as you can — especially for summer and early fall dates, which fill fastest. If you're Class of 2027, right now is the sweet spot. Reach out, and we'll find your date.

Colorado weather is famously unpredictable and I know it well. If conditions aren't workable on your session day, we'll reschedule. I want your experience to feel relaxed, not stressful — chasing bad weather is never worth it.
