Welcome to the JBP Print Your Life Series

I've been printing photos since I was a kid. Not because someone told me to. Just because that's always been how I've understood photographs as things you hold, not things you scroll.

I was documenting my life before documenting your life was a thing. Taking pictures of my family, my friends, my ordinary days, and making sure those photos ended up somewhere real. In albums. In frames. On walls. Woven into the home we lived in.

Growing up, our house was full of photos. Artwork and portraits everywhere: table frames, walls, hallways. It shaped me in ways I didn't even have words for until I became a photographer myself.

I love digital. I shoot digital, I share digital, and I'm grateful for every phone camera that ever caught a moment I would have missed. But there is something that happens when a photo lives on a wall or in an album that a screen just can't replicate.

My kids grow up seeing themselves in our home. Their trips. Their little faces. Their people. It's woven into who they are, and I genuinely believe that matters.

So I print. Always have. I have linen boxes in our living room filled with 4x6 prints that my kids can just sit down and flip through whenever they want. There's a wall outside their rooms where I rotate photos in and out, and they notice. They ask when the new memories are going up. That's not a small thing. That's photos doing exactly what they're supposed to do.

For my own home, I print constantly: candids, travel shots, ordinary Tuesday moments. For my clients, I create something different entirely: heirloom albums and portraits meant to be the centerpiece of a home, not just part of it.

This is what a life of printing looks like when you do it with intention.

I will die on this hill: your photos deserve to be printed. Not stored. Not scrolled past. Held.

That belief is behind everything I do as a photographer, and it's behind this series.
