How Much Do Senior Pictures Cost in Denver? An Honest Guide
How much do senior pictures cost in Denver? Here's exactly how my session fees and print collections work, what's included, what's extra, and why you choose your prints after you see your photos.
How Much Do Senior Pictures Cost in Denver? The Short Answer:
If you’re wondering how much senior pictures cost in Denver, the honest answer is that it depends less on the photographer and more on how they price. Some photographers charge one package price, and others charge a session fee and let you choose your prints and albums separately. At Jennie Bennett Photography, session fees start at $175 and print collections start at $375. Your session fee books the experience, and your collection is chosen later, at your in-person reveal, after you’ve already seen your images. I’m a senior photographer based in Castle Rock, and I photograph seniors all over Douglas County and the Denver Metro area, so I hear this question from parents almost every week. Here’s exactly how it works, with nothing hidden.
Two Ways Denver Photographers Price Senior Pictures:
Most senior photographers in Denver use one of two pricing models. The first is a package: one price that usually includes the session and a set number of digital images. The second is a session fee plus products, where you book the session first and choose what you take home afterward. Neither model is wrong, but they’re hard to compare side by side if you only look at the first number you see. A low package price might include only a handful of edited images, and a session fee by itself never tells the whole story. So when you compare what senior pictures cost in Denver, ask every photographer the same question: what do we actually walk away with? It also helps to ask whether you’ll get printed products or only an online gallery, because that changes the value of the number you’re looking at.
What Your Session Fee Covers
Your session fee covers the planning, the session itself, and the editing that gets your gallery ready for your reveal. Before we ever pick up a camera, we plan together: outfits, the style of location that fits your senior, and the time of day with the best light. The Classic Experience is about an hour at one location, the Signature Experience is about two hours at two locations within the Denver Metro area, and the Destination Experience is an extended session at a scenic spot with travel within 100 miles included. A parent stays nearby during every session, since most seniors are still under 18. Every session is built around your senior, so they feel comfortable being themselves instead of performing for the camera. The Classic Experience is paid in full when you book. The Signature and Destination Experiences are held with a $150 non-refundable deposit that goes toward your session fee, with the rest due the day before your session.
Your Reveal: Choosing Prints After You See Your Photos
After your session, we sit down together for your in-person reveal, and it’s my favorite part of the whole process. You see your senior’s images for the first time together, and nobody rushes you. Parents often tell me this is the moment it finally sinks in that senior year is really happening. Then you choose the print collection that fits your family, and collections start at $375. My collections include albums I design myself, print boxes, wall art like fine art wood prints and metal pieces, desk acrylics, and digital images. Every collection includes digital images, so you never have to choose between holding your photos and sharing them. Every family takes home at least one collection, and you’ll choose yours at the reveal.
What’s Included and What Costs Extra
Parents deserve a straight answer here, so let’s talk about what’s included and what’s extra. Your session includes planning help, the session, my editing, and your reveal appointment. Your collection includes professional printing through a professional lab, my album design, and the digital images that match your products. Extras are things you choose on purpose, like more digital images, a larger album, more album pages, or another wall art piece. Nothing gets added to your total unless you choose it at your reveal. I’d rather you know all of this up front than feel surprised in the middle of a happy moment. If you have questions while you’re comparing what senior pictures cost in Denver across photographers, ask me, and I’ll give you a real answer.
Why I Price Senior Pictures This Way
I price senior pictures this way because I believe photos are meant to be held, not just scrolled past. I always told my mom that when she’s gone, I won’t want her things. I’ll want the photographs. A gallery link gets buried in a camera roll, but an album on the coffee table gets opened at graduation parties, at holidays, and on the hard days years from now. Choosing your collection after you see your images means you’re never guessing about what you’ll love. When you’re weighing what senior pictures cost in Denver, I hope you’ll also weigh what you’ll still be holding twenty years from now. The Future Seniors List hears about new session dates first, and you can join it right here.

Welcome to the JBP Print Your Life Series
I've been printing photos since I was a kid. Albums, frames, linen boxes full of 4x6s this is the story behind my new Print Your Life series and why I believe your photos deserve better than a hard drive.
I've been printing photos since I was a kid. Not because someone told me to. Just because that's always been how I've understood photographs as things you hold, not things you scroll.
I was documenting my life before documenting your life was a thing. Taking pictures of my family, my friends, my ordinary days, and making sure those photos ended up somewhere real. In albums. In frames. On walls. Woven into the home we lived in.
Growing up, our house was full of photos. Artwork and portraits everywhere: table frames, walls, hallways. It shaped me in ways I didn't even have words for until I became a photographer myself.
I love digital. I shoot digital, I share digital, and I'm grateful for every phone camera that ever caught a moment I would have missed. But there is something that happens when a photo lives on a wall or in an album that a screen just can't replicate.
My kids grow up seeing themselves in our home. Their trips. Their little faces. Their people. It's woven into who they are, and I genuinely believe that matters.
So I print. Always have. I have linen boxes in our living room filled with 4x6 prints that my kids can just sit down and flip through whenever they want. There's a wall outside their rooms where I rotate photos in and out, and they notice. They ask when the new memories are going up. That's not a small thing. That's photos doing exactly what they're supposed to do.
For my own home, I print constantly: candids, travel shots, ordinary Tuesday moments. For my clients, I create something different entirely: heirloom albums and portraits meant to be the centerpiece of a home, not just part of it.
This is what a life of printing looks like when you do it with intention.
I will die on this hill: your photos deserve to be printed. Not stored. Not scrolled past. Held.
That belief is behind everything I do as a photographer, and it's behind this series.
Once a month here on the blog, I'll be sharing a deeper look at a trip, a season, a collection of memories, and what we did with them. Real photos, real stories, real life.
And if you want the weekly version, come find me on Instagram at @jenniebennettphotog, where I'm sharing archive photos every single week as part of the Print Your Life series. Same heart, more often.
This is just the beginning. I'm so glad you're here.
